Foundations are designed for the long term, with their statutes setting out guidelines for their activities for years and decades to come. Our commitment to international understanding, youth exchange, supporting survivors of the National Socialist regime, social justice, international collaboration, and remembering the threat presented by totalitarian systems – these aspects are laid down in our birth certificate, the Foundation Law. But societies and general conditions change over the course of a foundation’s life. Since summer 2020, we have been responding to these changes by working on the EVZ Foundation’s strategic development going forward – together with hundreds of dedicated partners.
Our Agenda for the Future represents our mission and work in the here and now. We are excited to get to work together with you and look forward to your feedback.

Targeted historical and political disinformation, the increase in xenophobic attacks online and offline, and the decline in historical factual knowledge about the history of National Socialism. The challenges are many – and we are tackling them with our Agenda for the Future!

The founding of the Remembrance, Responsibility and Future Foundation over 20 years ago marks a turning point in our culture of remembrance – the state, the private sector, and society assumed political and moral responsibility for the suffering of forced laborers under the Nazi regime of injustice.
